Vizantiyskiiy vremennik. Volume 105
ОГЛАВЛЕНИЕ
The current volume of the oldest academic yearbook presents works on various aspects of the history and culture of the Byzantine Empire. Among the main subjects that attracted the attention of the authors of the volume is the church history of early Byzantium. This topic is revealed from different sides in the works of M. Vedeshkin, M. Graziansky, E. Zabolotny. A new article by P. Ermilov continues to develop the previously outlined approach to reconstructing the history of the establishment of the Moscow Patriarchate, this time clarifying the ideological background of the decisions of the Council of Constantinople in 1593. A special feature of the volume is a significant section of publications, among which should be noted the editio princeps homilies of Leontius, the presbyter of Constantinople, "On the Cross and on the Robber", prepared by the priest M.V. Asmus, and part of the fragments brought together by A. Tsypkina from the unfinished monograph of G. Litavrin on the Byzantine peasantry.
