ОГЛАВЛЕНИЕ
Beginning with the 100th (75th on the new series) volume, the oldest academic yearbook returns to a unified numbering of volumes starting from the date of the foundation of the journal.
The jubilee volume contains works covering a wide range of subjects related to the history and culture of Byzantium and neighboring countries. The authors focus on the military organization of the empire, the theological discussions of the 5th century, the literary creativity of late Byzantine intellectuals, the materials of the Trabzon expedition of the famous Russian Byzantinist F.I. Uspensky (1916-1917).
The reader's attention will undoubtedly be attracted by the publication of the newly opened letter by Andrei Paleologus (brother of Sophia Palaeologus), a new document on the history of the Greek world's relations with Russia at the end of the 15th century. In the chronicles section, reports are published on the 21st All-Russian Scientific Session of the Byzantinists (Belgorod, April 20-23, 2016) and the XXIII International Congress of Byzantine Studies (Belgrade, August 22-27, 2016).
