Scientific Session of Byzantinists

All-Russian scientific sessions of Byzantine Studies, conducted by the National Committee, are respected review of of Byzantine schools, open platform for scholars communication and presentation of topical research results. Traditionally, the session are united by common theme and are dedicated to the anniversaries. At present, sessions held regularly twice during five years (between the International Congresses of Byzantine Studies). They are attended by Byzantinists, not only from Russia, but from the countries of the former Soviet Union, and other countries: Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece.
